For some strange reason we’re struggling to get our head around the news that Fearne Cotton is getting married to on-off boyfriend Jesse Jenkins after he popped the question last week.

But then again, these pictures off her leaving the Radio One studios wearing an engagement ring this afternoon are starting to make it seem a little bit more real.

Also, a friend of Fearne’s has been blabbing and they said:

“She is so excited about being engaged that she hasn’t even thought about the wedding. It was a big shock for everyone but Fearne is ecstatic. It was the last thing she was expecting but she didn’t hesitate saying yes.”

Aw, happy days.

If like us you’ve been following The Wanted’s sudden rise to fame, you could be forgiven for thinking the chart-topping lads were a little bit boring.

Of course there is no denying they are an extremely pretty bunch of boys and their music’s pretty catchy as well, but up until the other night we thought they might be lacking in the personality department.

So we’re pleased to report that Max, Jay and Tom were in high spirits and dare we say, looked a little bit worse for wear as they left Kanaloa nightclub in London on Saturday.

Now that’s more like it, all they need now is a celebrity girlfriend or a couple of kiss and tells and we might start writing about them on a regular basis....

It’s been revealed that Wayne Rooney text his wife to warn her about the revelations in Sunday’s newspapers, claiming he'd slept with a £1,200-a-night hooker.

The England striker told his wife, who was getting her hair done before a family celebration, that a 21-year-old had come forward claiming to have had sex with him while Coleen was pregnant.

A source told the Daily Mail:

“Coleen and Wayne were supposed to attend a family christening this weekend but they didn’t show up.

“Coleen had been getting her hair done on Saturday when Wayne texted her to break the news.

“He’s a coward for hiding behind a text message, especially when they’d been together earlier that day.”

A coward? We can think of a few other choice words to describe him....

It was out with the old and in with the new this morning as Daybreak filled the gaping hole in ITV’s morning schedule, which was previously filled by GMTV.

So did you watch it? What did you think? Has the multi-million pound makeover paid off? Or did it just feel like a dull, drawn out version of The One Show?

The simple answer is, we’re undecided and our sentiment echoed by most of the reviews, which have already started spilling in.

While Chiles and Bleakley looked somewhat nervous on their new mauve sofa, you couldn’t really criticise their presenting skills in the shiny new studio, with breathtaking views across London.

But on the downside, the content was lacking, there were no new and exciting features and it just felt a bit same old same old.

Maybe it’s going to take a while to get going, but we can’t wait to see how it pans out with viewing figures and all that jazz.

So anyway, now you’ve heard our verdict, you can tell us what you thought... Come on, we're waiting!

Yesterday the Ultimate Big Brother housemates nominated for the third and final time and Michelle, Nick and Vanessa will face the public vote this Wednesday.

It’s a double eviction, before the grand finale on Friday night, and we’ve got absolutely no idea who is going to go.

Michelle, Nick or Vanessa? It’s a tough one to call, mostly because we dislike all of them in equal measures.

But if we were forced to pick two, we’d probably go for Nick, because he’s pretty tedious and Michelle because we want Vanessa to stay in for a little bit longer on the off chance that she might crack up.

When Kate and Jamie were pictured wearing what appeared to be wedding bands on their engagement fingers during a break in Italy last month, we wrongly presumed they had tied the knot.

And we say ‘wrongly presumed’ because a spokesman for the couple said, “Kate and Jamie are closer than ever. They aren’t married yet, but it is very much a case of ‘watch this space.’

Well, we’ve been ‘watching this space’ and over the weekend we caught up with the Croydon clothes horse leaving a pub in the Cotswolds with her rocker boyfriend and yet again Kate and Jamie were both wearing what appeared to be wedding bands.

Has the supermodel got something to tell us? Or should we keep watching this space?

Olly Murs was jumping around like a madman as he left the Radio One studios in London last night after scoring his first official number one with debut solo single, Please Don’t Let Me Go.

The X Factor runner-up knocked last week’s numero uno, Taio Cruz into third position and even Katy Perry’s new single, Teenage Dream couldn’t keep Murs off the coveted top spot.

Speaking on the radio one chart show Olly put his popularity down to the fact he’s “quite confident” and he said:

“I’m the same person in every single performance that I do, I’m able to showcase my personality in my music so that’s probably why people like me.”

After Murs greeted fans outside the Radio One studio we thought he might head to a London club to celebrate his success, but instead he opted for an early night and when he arrived hom his family greeted him with a celebratory fireworks display.

Coleen Rooney is reportedly in crisis talks with her parents following yesterday’s reports in the News Of The World, that Wayne Rooney bedded a £1,200-a-night hooker while his wife was pregnant.

The shammed footballer is expected to fly to Switzerland tomorrow ahead of England’s Euro 2012 qualifier and while he’s there his 24-year-old wife is seriously considering their future, with insiders claiming it is unlikely their relationship will survive the new revelations.

Meanwhile, this latest sex scandal has prompted speculation that Rooney’s bad performance at the recent World Cup was a result of his concerns that his private life was about to be exposed.

Until late last month, Wayne hadn’t scored for club or country since March and we’re going to let you insert your own joke here.

Cheryl Cole has been officially divorce for two whole minutes (okay, it was last Friday if you want to be pedantic) and as a result she’s decided now is as good a time as any to open up about her recent split.

As the X Factor judge landed her second Vogue cover, she told the prestigious fashion mag she felt ‘betrayed’ by ex-hubby Ashley:

“And I’ve just got to be grateful that I’ve got so many good things going on. I have. And there’s no children, you know?”

While on the subject of kids, Cheryl then added:

“That’s definitely something I want to achieve. It’s the toughest job in the world – but I know it must be the most rewarding too. I’m ready now. I’m 27. I’m a woman, not a girl any more.

“Thinking about yourself constantly isn’t so healthy. I suppose that’s the point of having children, isn’t it? Being able to live your life through them instead of you, having them be your motivation?”
