On Saturday (14 Nov) Jozi's OR Tambo airport greeted 113 leggy out-of-towners who arrived to compete in the 2009 Miss World pageant.

The event's happening at Gallagher Estate on Saturday/12 December and the contestants are travellin' South Africa between then and now.

On Sunday (15th) they threw cash around when they hit Rosebank Market and on Monday they blew into Port Elizabeth. They went to a Gala dinner on Tuesday night and yesterday (18th) they competed in the Miss World Sports Final, which was won by Miss Japan Eruza Sasaki.

Next on their schedule: the Miss World Talent Final - this Sunday (22nd) in Jozi.

Beauty facts

Those who win titles in the build-up competitions automatically go through to the Top 20 of Miss World - so Eruza Sasaki's first on the list.

The pageant's gonna be broadcast live on SABC3 on 12/Dec at 17h00.
