Jersey Shore's The Situation has a legal situation on his hands. Like Snooki before him, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's application to trademark his ab-inspired nickname was rejected by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO,) according to The Smoking Gun. Evidently "The Situation" name is too similar to a "Situation" trademark granted last year to a Memphis retailer selling women and children's apparel. The rejection is a blow to The Sitch's plan to sell t-shirts and, ahem, underwear, bearing his preferred name.
